Shabbat Yoga: Pause & Soften

Shabbat Yoga: Pause & Soften

In the Zohar, Shabbat is one of the names of G-d.

Shabbat stands for:

Shin: Shalom (peace)

Beit: Bracha (blessing)

Tav-Taanug (pleasure)

(Rav Ginsburgh)

Our sages teach that peace is the vessel that we create to receive divine blessing. The experience of Shabbat is the experience of G-d's light and blessing entering our vessels of peace. This is divine pleasure.
